About Riverside Recovery Resources: Forty Years of Recovery Work in Riverside County
We Started With Six Beds And A Belief That People Can Change
Riverside Recovery Resources began in 1985 as a six-bed program for men trying to get sober. No campus, no reputation, just a small group of people who believed that anyone with the willingness to change deserved a real chance to do it.
Four decades later, we are one of the largest non-profit recovery providers in Riverside County, with offices in Riverside and Lake Elsinore serving thousands of people across the region. What has not changed is the belief we started with. Everyone who walks through our doors deserves a clean start and the life they were always meant to have. That was true with six beds, and it is true now.
Why A Non-profit Does This Differently
We are a California non-profit corporation, and that shapes everything about how we work. No investors own us. No one takes a cut when you enroll. Every dollar and every program exists for one reason, which is to build stronger families and communities through alcohol and drug prevention, intervention, education, and recovery.
Built Around Community, Not Profit
As a California non-profit corporation, we have no investors or owners taking a cut. Our work is focused on strengthening families and communities through prevention, intervention, education, and recovery.
Your Needs Come First
We do not steer you toward the most expensive or profitable option. We build a plan around what you actually need to meet your requirements and move forward.
Recovery Comes Before Revenue
When recovery is the only goal, conversations become more honest. You get guidance based on what is right for your situation—not what makes us the most money.
What We Believe About The People We Serve
We believe anyone with the willingness and determination, paired with the right program, deserves a clean start. Not the people who look the part, or the ones who have never slipped, or the ones who arrive certain. Anyone.
A lot of the people we serve arrive under pressure, sent by a court, a parole officer, or a family member who ran out of other options. We do not hold that against you, and we do not treat it as a character flaw. We treat it as the moment things can turn, because for many of the people who now have their lives back, it was exactly that moment that started it.
How We Actually Work With You
Our recovery work is built on the twelve-step and twelve-tradition model, and it goes past the substance to the parts of life that usually get skipped. Anger. Grief. The daily work of holding a job, showing up for your family, and rebuilding trust that took years to lose.
Every plan we build is personalized, and every plan includes aftercare, because we know the hard part is not finishing the program. It is the year that follows. We are there to help our graduates lead productive lives long after the last session, and we mean that as a commitment, not a closing line.
