Biography
Keith provides oversight and direction for our array of programs and services. He brings extensive professional and experiential expertise gained over a period of 30 years. Following his personal struggle with addiction and successful journey into recovery, Keith completed academic studies at Orange Coast and Saddleback College, thereafter attaining substance abuse disorder certifications in anger/stress management, motivational interviewing, screening/assessments, parenting, and cognitive behavioral interventions utilizing rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT). His professional growth led him from a position of House Manager for a major Southern California substance abuse program provider, to credentialed counseling positions in dui, in-patient and outpatient programs, as well as in-prison and parolee treatment post-release from custody. For over 20 years, Keith has successfully supervised and managed community-based services in the capacity of Program Director, overseeing the provision of substance abuse in-patient and out-patient services to varied populations including first responders, professionals, and criminal justice. When he’s not working, Keith enjoys spending time with family and friends, 12-step meetings, exercising, cooking, and watching movies and sports on TV.
Perhaps the gift Keith brings to our program can be best stated in his own words:
“I grew up in an environment where a life of service is expected and after experiencing a few slight deviations from that path I eventually embraced the life of service. In the 30 years since, my life has been and continues to be given meaning, purpose and be truly enriched by my ongoing journey of personal recovery and the chance to provide that same gift to those who are struggling in the throes of addiction.”
